 The representatives of the non-guvernamental organizations had been invited at a meeting at the City Hall. There had been settled up, officially , about 300 n.g.o.s until present. From the discussion, it had been stated officially that PRO ANIMALS  organization is amongst the oldest ngo, amongst the most active and the only that has it its statute as main objective the animal protection and welfare. There had been settled a new meeting for May.

The Consultative County Council  of Elder’ persons initiated for the meeting a theme regrading stray dogs. Our association has been invited, together with the new Prefect of Gorj County, Mr. Florescu, the minister responsible for the relation with the Parliament, Mr. Victor Ponta, the director of the Catching Service, as well as the president of Romanian Federation for Animals’ Protection and Control and other people interested.  There had been decided that the stray dogs ‘ problem is a social important one.  There had been discussed aspects from Gorj county but also aspects about legislation.
