The stray dogs from Tg-Jiu dissapear in a misterious way

The stray dogs exist grace of our uncaring and ignorance. Some of the citizens think that the dogs presence beside their homes give them more safe. Other persons think that the strays must disappear with any price. In the Tg-Jiu city is happening a strange thing: the dogs are catch but in the supposed shelter of the Margaritarului street managed of the City Hall, where should be the stray dogs, is not any dog.
The local authorities are contradicted themselves in declarations
The associations and foundations of animal’s protection obtained a space for sheltering a few dogs .For more than six month , these associations fed and cared from their own fond a number of 35 dogs, bring by the City Hall. The Mayor Florin Carciumaru had promise that will cancel the catching of strays until will be arrange an adequate shelter.Direction of Comunal Services heading by Mihai Dragomir had continue to catch the dogs. He recognized that the strays are hunting continuously by the municipal catchers.
The dogs are shot ?
The representatives of the associations and foundation of animal’s protection were to the shelter of stray dogs from the Margaritarului street and they were surprised to find that the shelter was empty.
Many locals from Motru sustain that in the surrender woods are bringing stray dogs from different cities , and they are shot; the authorities negate this think.
The animals protection foundation “ COLT ALB” sent Saturday, 22 July 2000 to the Tg-Jiu City Hall ,the fallowing protest:
You promised that you will not admit the killings of stray dogs but you tolerate it. How is remain with the catching made it in the night with chains, by unprepared employees who are using very cruel methods and shock the population?
Even if exist a contract signed with the Local Protections in which the City Hall promised to solve the problem through the spay, they are continuing to develop cruelty techniques concerning the dogs. Stray dogs- a scandalous subject again

The Mayor Florin Carciumaru promised that beginning with 25 September will be use the dog shelter “ with kennels, medical room and all what is need”. Also, the City Hall will put at hand of foundation a car for food transport. A member of the Association bring few accusations concerning the strays destination supposing that they are shooting in the wood. What is the truth and what is the best strategy , will see. To the meeting of Tg-Jiu City Hall with the Pro Animals Foundation members were discuss that the Communal Services Direction will finish until 15 September 2000 the build near of the Municipal Cemetery . Until 20 September 2000 will be finish the surrounding of the kennels, and the food for the dogs will be assure since now with help of the car distributed by the City Hall. In Motru City opened the hunting season for stray dogs

In Motru city started the extermination of the stray dogs .The Fishers and Hunters Association of the County Gorj, issued an approval to the City Hall solicitation and so started the hunting of the dogs. They shot in the middle of the day, people were scared. Gorjeanul , 23 .11.2000

The Mayor Florin Carciumaru had the idea to get free the city of the stray dogs. He ordered to the Communal Services Direction to clean and transport the dogs to the special shelter created in this way.. But the employees ahead with Mihai Dragomir took huge bats and another cruelty instruments and they started for hunting. After a long running and some hurts dogs , they succeed to catch one puppy, but they were shame to lead him of the animal’s protection center so they abandoned him to the border of Jiu.Scandal de Gorj, 01.12.2000
